Loren, was truly a treasure! I remember meeting him for the first time while babysitting for Jeff snd Bobby when Ellie was on a date him and knew that he was very special. All the qualities everyone has mentioned are echoed in my thoughts and memories of dear Loren. So glad I got to see him and Ellie , Jeff and Sue for dinner at a Chicago restaurant about nine or ten years ago.
Loren was one of the sweetest, most kind people I have ever known and will be greatly missed. He lives on in my cherished memories

Loren truly was one of the nicest people one would ever want to meet …..just a very kind, gentle and wise soul who left this world a better place than when he arrived in it… the world needs more Lorens…. Rest peacefully, sweet man.

Every single memory I have of Uncle Loren is of a warm, caring, quietly funny, grounded man. He was always kind to me, asked questions and was genuinely interested in hearing my responses. I didn’t get to see Aunt Ellie and Uncle Loren often after they moved to the Chicago area but I always felt close nevertheless. He’ll forever be in my memories and he will be missed very much.

I got to meet and know Loren the last year.
I always enjoyed our conversations about Brooklyn, Sandy Koufax and Junior’s cheesecake. He was always nice to my wife and I.
I will miss him.
May his memory be a blessing.

It has been such a blessing and joy getting to know Loren. I was always touched with the display of love and affection he always showed to his beautiful wife Ellie. The last concert we held here at NP I had the honor of sitting beside him and singing , that day he was having such a wonderful time. Anytime I went into the wing where he lived I could always hear him laughing, teasing someone or asking for his wife Ellie. Loren was a wonderful man and I will deeply miss him.
My deepest condolences to Ellie and family.

Dear Ellie,
I don’t know if you remember me but I used to work for Dr. Kantor and is your neighbor in the 100 block of Weidner.
So sorry to hear about Loren’s passing. You were a great couple.
May his memory be a blessing.

My memory of Loren is his soft, easy smile, and the caring relationship he had with his wife. Also, another memory is how Jeff always spoke of his father and how he helped shape him into the person he is today.

I don’t have a specific memory, but the memory I have is of the love that Jeff always had for his father and the wonderful person Jeff is because of his father’s influence . Jeff and Sue are such good friends that I feel my relationship with them is a reflection of Loren’a persona.
