Obituary

Neal Ira “Buddy” Gomberg, 91, beloved husband of the late Yvonne; loving father of Diane (Norman) Agins and the late Marci (Richard) Zeoli; cherished grandfather of Carissa (Steven) Graffia, Lucas (Suzy) Agins, Nicole (Michael) Martinez, and Brittany and Jeremy Zeoli; adored great grandfather of Alexis, Jaden, Gianna, Olivia, Eris, and Michael; dear brother of the late Lionel (Reva) Gomberg. He was born in Chicago on July 21, 1932. Neal served in the Army during the Korean War and was a Shriner, raising over a million dollars for City of Hope charities. He was a die-hard Cubs fan, and loved boating on the Chain of Lakes with family. Buddy was always there, ready to lend a hand in any way possible. He was a giant amongst men! His memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Chapel service Thursday, 12:15 PM, November 2nd, at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
