Joan and Marshall raised the most loving, generous and special children. I feel so blessed to have known Marshall and the family. Being Elissa’s friend is such an honor. They don’t make quality families like the Hechters. Love, Judy Sage

Marshall was a special man and I’m sending all the Hechters my love and a hug. I will remember him fondly as a dignified gentleman, a thoughtful, inquisitive citizen who worked to improve his community, and a friend. Above all, he loved his family. Any time he came through Shepard, we would have the best talks. Blessings on him and the whole family. –Dave Komie

Joan, So sorry for your loss. We always expect old friends to be around forever. Sadly, as I learned last month, it doesn’t work that way. Be strong, Sandy Pakin

Marshall was so friendly, along with Joannie, when I first joined Bnai Chai. I loved hearing him sing the prayers. When we spoke, you can tell he really listened. And Marshall always reminded me that we shared the same birthday. Now, I’m learning even more about Marshall and the ‘laws’ he has passed along to all of his family. Blessings for comfort and strength to Joannie and the whole family.
Sending love and hugs,

I first met Marshall a long time ago… Our relationship continued with our membership in GEL. He was a fierce competitor in every activity he undertook. I am sorry that I can’t be in person today, but I send my condolences to his family and the many friends that he has made over the years. Rest in peace, my friend.
