She was remarkable. Always moving. One time I had an understudy performance and she was the only person who came to see me. I will always remember her and her smile fondly.

I met Rose while we both were on the board of Working Women’s History Project. I felt blessed to have known Rose, and her upbeat attitude, and enthusiasm for life, and her work to improve life for everyone. I will miss her. May her memory be a blessing for all who knew Rose.

Though I did not have Rose as a direct teacher, many of my friends did, and through them I came to know and admire her. She was no less influential to me because she loved and guided us all regardless. She was also a great support and encouragement to us after high school as we pursued our careers through and after college. What an honor and privilege it was to know Rose all of these years, and for her to now resonate with us forever. I pray comfort, healing and never-ending great memories for her family and all that loved her.
Warmly,
Trevor

Many years of fond memories will take the place of sadness from your absence, Rose. I will never forget your kindnesses from the first days of meeting you when I was a child. Thank you, Meyer and Reich families for sharing your homes and families over these many years. I know very well Marla will keep your love alive. Your memory will always be a blessing.
Much love from one of your other “daughters”. Thanks, Ma!!!

From September 1978 until June 1979, Rose “Ma” Meyer was my counselor at Marie Sklodowska Curie H.S. Then there was a period of years where I moved on to other things and lost contact with her. Then Facebook came along and suddenly, we reconnected. She was always in your corner, always cheering you on, always offering you amazing advice and always giving you things to think about. Rest In Peace forever, you have certainly earned it my beloved counselor, teacher and friend.

Ma Meyer was my confidant for many years. Curie high four years 1973-1977 through my college years, married year, writing years , the loss of my daughter and so much more. I dearly called her Ma Meyer. Never to be forgotten, fly high. Love you always always until we meet again.
