Obituary
But his greatest accomplishment was achieved on February 16th, 1958 when he married the love of his life Marlene Paust. Over 66 wonderful years of marriage Joey and Marlene enjoyed travel, friends and raised 3 children, Wendy (Scott), Bennett ( Norie) and Leslie (Steve) and enjoyed such a loving, close and respectful relationship. Joey and Marlene passed on their love of everything in life to their grandchildren, Dana (Jake), Dylan, Max (Margaret) and Maggie (Jacob).
Joey was the best role model to everyone, and his sense of humor and love of family will be greatly missed. However, in true Coach K fashion and an ode to his favorite song of all time, he left this world My Way.

As a tween and teenager, I babysat for Wendy, Bennett and Leslie when they were little and until I started college. I always adored this family, led by Marlene and Joey. He was always kind, joyful and easy to talk to. He loved his family dearly and derived great joy from Marlene and their children.
Catching up today on some newspapers I’ve not had time to read, I ran across his obituary and was immediately very saddened. Myrna memories of him and this family are wonderful and joy-filled. Joey and Marlene helped shape who I’ve become. Even though I have not seen any of you in years, I am very saddened by the news of his passing. May his memory forever be a blessing to you all, as he’s blessed many by being in our lives.
With a heavy heart, I offer my sincerest condolences to you all.
Sincerest sympathies,
