Obituary

Pat Chavin, née Taradash, 81, beloved wife of the late Gary; devoted mother of Jill (Darryl) Rosen and Heidi Bartelstein; proud grandmother of Josh (Lauren) Rosen, Danny Rosen and Ben Rosen, Drew Bartelstein and Koko Bartelstein; dear sister of the late Marty Taradash; dear dog grandmother of Kanyon and Joey. Pat was a kind, devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) Society, cllsociety.org. Chapel service, Monday, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. When Pat and I met – it was instant “sisterhood”. We knitted together, taught her to play Rummi Kub, which she just loved and was very good at it and took “field trips” together.

She especially enjoyed one of our Field Trips to West Rogers Park to see our childhood apartment buildings and also Gary’s. The July 4th Fire Works that we experienced were also a large highlight in her life!

I am so happy that she was able to go to and enjoy the wedding. We even talked about it when she got sick,

What a lost she is – I keep wanting to go to the phone to tell her something. With fond love to Heidi and Jill and all the family! JO
