I have know Don since our single days! Working at DeSoto, meeting you through Renee’, and bowling on the DeSoto league with your white bowling ball and Nae’s purple one and my ugly orange, brown and white one! Renee’ asked me to be a bridesmaid at your lovely wedding and I got to meet your family! We’ve made lots of fond memories over these 54 plus years! Thank you for being my friend!

I’ve known you all of your life Don, being one of your older sisters. I can clearly remember you as a kid while we played and had adventures with our next door neighbors, Don and Len Swanson, who were a bit older and a bit younger than you, by climbing on the hills of dirt when new home construction on the next block began, by playing hide and seek between the rows of rugs hanging for sale at the old Olson Rug Company, by riding our bicycles all over the neighborhood, by playing in the Barry Schoolyard which was ½ block away from our home, by playing baseball in the alley behind our house, and by playing made up games in our back yard, in your bedroom with building blocks making forts, etc. and playing upstairs in our attic playroom. Then we both grew older and had our own friends to spend time with, you especially with your best buddy, Glenn, which lasted through many of your adult years until his passing. Maybe you’ll be together again now! While you served in the U.S. Navy stationed at Guatanamo Bay, Cuba, I remember writing you lots of letters to let you know what was happening at home. I sure will miss you Don, for as kids, you were always my best friend. Then we grew up, had other friends and other interests, but you were always my wonderful, loving brother. I sure will miss you!
