My sincere condolences… Howard and I had a long association through Paragon Flying Club where he introduced me to the club planes the first time. We flew to the Oshkosh fly in in his C-421 once or twice too. When we were both board members at Paragon I got to know him and of course his lovely bride Harriett very well. Howard was one of the most vigorous people I’ve ever met and I am not surprised he lived to 100. I’m more surprised he didn’t see 110. After I became a CFI at Windy City Flyers, Howard even allowed me to give him simulator instruction occasionally to keep him moving forward. When I first met Howard I had a new private pilot’s license. I eventually got to fly as a professional, and never forgot Howard’s ease in his own airplane, and his common-sense rule of never wearing shorts or inappropriate shoes in an aircraft live with me to this day.

Hello family, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of Mr Levinson. Back in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s I was on the line crew at Palwaukee Airport. Mr Levinson was a kind, decent man, and I remember him well. May his memory be for an eternal blessing.

Howard was a special member of our Honor Flight Chicago family. While we were able to honor him as a war hero through HFC, he honored us with his humility, his bravery, and his service. I send my condolences to the Levinson Family and Helene. All who knew Howard were blessed.
