I was deeply saddened when I learned of Jeff’s passing. I enjoyed working with Jeff on many committees with the American Society of Interior Designers. Jeff was an excellent designer, passionate supporter of our profession, and dear friend. My condolences to you and your family!

I was so sorry to hear about Jeff’s passing. As children, all our Kaluzna, Rose, Fine and Smoler families would get together for special occasions. It had been a long time since I had seen Jeff, but when I did I recall he greeted me with a smile and was, as always, kind, welcoming and sincere. My deepest condolences to all the Smoler family.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. Please accept my deepest condolences. I’m not in town, but I was able to be with you through the livestream. It was a beautiful celebration of his life. Thinking about Jeff brought me back to the fun we had when we were kids and our families would get together on Sunday afternoons. It brought a smile to my face to remember later in life seeing each other at family events and joking, kibbitzing, and laughing together. May his memory be a blessing.

Dear Helen Our condolences to you and your family on the passing of your husband. We remember attending your wedding so many years ago. The last time I saw you was in Chicago when we lunched and you brought me up to date on your family and life. It pleased me that you all were doing so well. I remember speaking to your mother and telling her how good I felt after seeing you and hearing about your accomplishments. Please know that she was so proud of you and the life you built. We are thinking of you and wishing you well. Fondly Pat and Ralph Kert

Jeff always greeted me with a smile and was extremely welcoming. I enjoyed all our conversations. He was truly a family man and loved and respected his family and friends. My last memory of Jeff was at Dana’s wedding. He was so happy and proud. And playing the drums gave him tremendous pleasure. He was a fine man and will be missed.
