Obituary

Neal Alan Sacks,86, passed away June 21, 2024. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee’ Hanstein) for 47 wonderful years; loving father of Robert (the late Donna) and Lauri (Rory) Anderson; step-father to Michael (Sharlene) Walters, Lori (Andrew) Glasheen and the late Mark Walters; adored grandfather of Nikole, Jakob and Kortnee; much loved son of the late Jack and the late Joyce; caring brother of David (Barbara) Sacks; uncle to Jodi (Brad) Greenspan and Elissa (Dan) Hindin. Neal was born on June 12, 1938, in Chicago, where he lived until he retired to Mesa, Arizona 21 years ago. Neal spent his professional years in various sales positions and later became an active member of his community serving on various town and home-owner committees. His love for dogs was apparent to all who knew him. In addition to providing a loving home to six foster dogs, he helped find forever homes for many others through his volunteer efforts with the Golden Retriever of Arizona and Arizona Border Collie Rescue (AZBCR). His other passions included traveling, music, photography and setting up his house with the latest gizmos.
