Dear Sherrie:

Sharon and I extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family after Louis’ passing.

I first met Louis at a party, I think it was at his house in West Rogers Park, in 1956 or 1957, when we were in high school, (he went to Sullivan and I went to Lane), through our then mutual friends, Jerry Goldberg and Harold Bernstein. Then, as you know, our paths crossed again, in later years, amongst the company of our other mutual friends, Jordan and Sharon Kempler.

Lou was tall, handsome and one of the nicest people that I had the privilege of meeting. I regret not being in his company more often during our adult lives.

(Although my memories about Lou are too few and far between), please be comforted by your many loving memories about such a wonderful person and you being lucky enough to have been his partner in life.
