So sorry to hear about this. I was a friend of Sherry’‘s in high school & college. What I don’t believe she knew was that at the time I visited her at NIU, I was able to meet her roommate. Her roommate ultimately became my wife. Because of Sherry, I’ve been married 45 yrs, had two children and two grandchildren. We all lost touch and unfortunately, I don’t even think Sherry knew that I married her old roommate. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and Thank her for helping me during my earlier years.
Everyone must hug the ones that they love….because they may not be here tomorrow to do so. Please Thank those that have been instrumental in guiding you down your path! (Now – not later).
Our condolences to Sherry’s entire family and friends for such a huge loss 🙏🏻

I met Sherry in 7th grade. We were part of a very young Jewish sorority and also confirmed together at BJBE. Our lives took very separate paths but we stayed in touch – not often – but there was always a feeling of grounding having Sherry in my life. I remember in High School we’d meet, wear our oxford shirts with the tails out and smoke a kent cigarette while walking down my block. I always felt cool with Sherry… And no, we didn’t become smokers….I will always be grateful to have seen her and Bill when they drove to Colorado in 2021. May her memory be for a blessing for all of us.

Bill and family,
We have so many wonderful memories of time spent and phone conversations with Sherry, you and the girls. Sherry was a very loyal and wise friend. We will miss her but feel so blessed to have had her in our life; she made the world a better place. Take care of yourselves and each other and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. With love, Bruce and Debbie

From afar we kept in touch and when catching up in person, always with a smile and warm hug would our dear friend greet myself and family. Stories shared and memories created. A special woman who shall not be forgotten.

We remember when the two of you visited Upstate NY. It was part of a long trip where you “made the rounds” visiting countless friends and family members. It was so great to spend time with you both. It reminded us of how great a couple you are and how much we miss you both. Our hearts go out to you Bill, your children and grandchildren (who you always rave about and enjoy so much) and all who love Sherry and will miss her.

Sherry visited us multiple times in California. We would spend time with her touring Los Angeles. She had a zest for life and was funny and energetic. We always treasured the time that we spent with her because she was so fun.
