Bobby will be missed by so many, he was one in millions. The nicest guy in the world, loved Pepi & his family to the moon -and taught us newlyweds how to raise and cherish your family. He knew how to save money, but would give anyone his last dime.
Pepi, Laura and Missy —he will be missed by so many friends & CBOE colleagues. We’re thinking of you.
May his memory be a blessing. H& B

Uncle Bob was a kind hearted genuine good guy.
Bob was always filled with energy and laughter.
I never met anyone that religoiusly woke up every sunday to wash his car and go to flukeys and jewel osco.
My fondest memories with bob were me and my brother brad running around throwing the football with bob in the backyard and their dog mandy rumning around while capping it off with some pinball in the basement. He always had great energy and spirit.
Bob was a great influence on my father and me and my brother. I appreciate everything he taught us during our visits to chicago and bobs legacy will live on through his family and may uncle bob rest in peace

I’m very sorry for your loss.
I’ve known Bob for over forty years. I first met Bob by handing him orders as a runner, then sending him orders as a clerk, then trading with him as a broker and finally working together with him at C.B.O.E. I never had a problem with Bob that we didn’t solve reasonably. I got to know him at C.B.O.E. and I’m glad to say he was my Friend.

Rolling neighbor’s trash cans back from the curb on Monday afternoons, cleaning the ends of driveways after the snow passed, or pausing with a smile to catch up when on his walks or washing his car. Bob was a friendly and thoughtful neighbor who cared about his community and showed it through his everyday actions.
Condolences to the entire Barr family. Bob will be missed by many who knew him on the block.

Bobby was always friendly and warm whether filling gas at his father’s station when we were teenagers or as an adult when we connected at family events. My condolences to Pepi and to all Bobby’s family.
