I just learned of her passing last week. I have been sad ever since. Sue was not only a wonderful supervisor but later on became a great friend. Sue helped me when I really struggled in my job. I still hear her voice in my head “Who’s in charge?” Sue I miss you and so sad as you were truly a mensch.

I remember meeting and seeing Sue at ACA meetings. She and my late mother, Toby Litin, worked together for many years. May her memory be for a blessing.

I got to know Sue through YMJC. She was a wonderful person and an extremely important member of the JCYS team. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Condolences to the family of Susan. I knew her from Benton House in Chicago.
She was one of the lovely leaders who helped us enjoy and navigate through adolescence. Shalom!

Susan was not only a cherished colleague but also a dear friend to many within our community. She served as the Associate Executive Director of Jewish Council for Youth Services (JCYS) for numerous years and was later honored with the title of Director for Life in recognition of her invaluable contributions to the agency. May her memory be a blessing for us all.

I came to know Susan through her volunteer work at Save-A-Pet. We served on the Board together. She was kind, compassionate and dedicated to helping the animals and organization. Susan was always kind and welcoming. She was very generous with her time and knowledge. She had a special relationship with one of my dogs (Finnie, pictured). She will be greatly missed.

Susan was a caring and thoughtful camp professional. I had the pleasure of working with her on many tough issues when she was the President of the American Camp Association, Illinois. She was a bright light and her legacy of camp will live on through so many of us.

Really sad to read this news. A lady and mother figure on site, she was Henry Horner to the core and huge love to the CRL family. She ensured we all felt part of the camp family and ensured staff of both camps integrated and gave us jobs when camp was over. I think she enjoyed inter sports days. Many great and huge memories. Rest Easy Susan and Thank you for everything you did across your great life.
