I had the sense that he was well aware of his successful law practice, but never boastful.
I know Jordy’s family (just a teeny bit the Fluss’) and he was privileged to have very genuine nachas, which was obviously very richly deserved. I am sure that he will continue advocating for his People in Heaven.

I remember Nat from the late 1950s, from Ner Tamid Congregation in Chicago, when I was a student volunteer and led the high school and Hebrew School High Holiday services and Nat was actually paid, as a “professional”, to lead the youth (college age) services. I also have fond and colorful memories from a decade or two later, when I and my family moved to Highland Park and Beth El Congregation there, and Nat was an established and colorful fixture. I haven’t seen him in many years, but my memories of him are vivid. He was a knowledgeable and committed Jew and effectively transmitted that commitment to his children. My sincere condolences to Lana and to all of Nat’s family.

Nat and family. Nat and I have been friends for years and our memories with Beth El go way back. We could always talk about anything and he was very kind to my son Benjy when I needed some help. Nat was a good man and I will miss him. I wish his health had given him an easier time in his later years.
Love and peace for you.

Throughout high school, I spent an endless number of Shabbat lunches and afternoons at the Greys’ home. Mr. Grey’s warm welcome and enthusiasm for Shabbat encouraged my interest and then observance. Singing zemirot with him was a key part of the family’s Shabbat afternoon experience., and his Menucha V’Simcha” and “Ya Ribon” tunes will continue evoke fond memories.
