Obituary

Jean Rothman, 96, passed away on February 19, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Harry; loving mother of Gayle (Henry) Tavares, Sheila Edelstein (Terry Melinger), and Jodie (the late Ronald) Lindstaedt; cherished Grandma of Jason Cohen, Miranda Wulfing, Brett (Marilyn) Chase, Adam (Lacie) Lindstaedt and Morgan Rothman; much loved “Gigi” of Paxton, Ashton and Desmond; adored sister of the late Kenneth Worlf and the late Rosalyn Lessman; dear aunt, great aunt and friend of many. Jean lived for and loved her family dearly, she was a member of ORT, loved playing Mahjongg, loved to decorate and was an avid shopper. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Thursday, February 27, 2025; 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Aunt Jeanie was a force of nature. Never to hold her feelings in, she made her word known! I say this with great fondness and she definitely had a profound impact on me growing up. Let the debate start in the heavens with harry, My Dad Ken, and Nana Adelle. Think of her and smile. Deepest condolences to the rest of the family. Love Scott
