Obituary
Barry was a devoted family man, friend, and sports fan. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon (nee Rodkin), sons Nathan Curtis and Eric Curtis (Jessica nee Brueswitz), grandchildren Jordan, Hannah, Cassie and Marcus Curtis, sister Sheila Taylor, and sister-in-law, Trudy Tobias (nee Rodkin). He was preceded in death by his father, Nathan, his mother, Sonia (nee Goldstein) and sister, Adelaide Green.
His loyalty and devotion are evidenced by his work with the same agency from 1970 until his retirement at age 67, and his life-long friendships with grammar, Hebrew, high school and college friends. He was not a fair-weather sports fan but avidly watched all the Chicago professional sports teams: the Chicago Cubs and White Sox, Bulls, Bears, and Black Hawks. Everyone who met him would say, “He is the nicest guy.” He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, www.parkinson.org

When I left teaching and started a 37 year career in sales at Rosman Adjustment Corporation, Barry was there for me as a friend, mentor and a wonderful mensh. I will always treasure the time we had together.
