Berchie Perlman, 95, beloved husband of Terri nee Sangerman for 56 wonderful years; loving father of Julie (Garry) Benjoya; cherished Papa of Max Haid and Lexi Haid; devoted son of the late Anna and Louis Perlman; dear brother of the late Grace (the late Abe) Kelner, Sophie (the late Sam) Lenik and Shelly Perlman (Alice Perlman Krause); adored brother-in-law of Jeff (Ilene) Sangerman; treasured uncle, cousin and friend of many. Berchie was a proud Army veteran. He served two tours during the Korean War. Berchie was a jeweler for over 65 dedicated years, most of which were at Port Clinton Jewelers of Highland Park. He was a lifelong Cubs fan, and his greatest joy was his family. Chapel service Monday, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Going to the Jewelry shows in Las Vegas and the Century Plaza Hotel.
with Burchie and Dad . Have memories of going to the store. He made a beautiful ring I gave to Pam when Hilary was born.Pam and I both still wear the bracelets that we bought at the store. He was one in a million. The sweetest guy.. Love to Terri and the family.
