Obituary
Born and raised in Wilmette, Illinois, Jeff attended New Trier High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He served as a partner at Amundsen Davis law firm and practiced law for 23 years.
Above all, Jeff was a devoted father. Anyone who knew him understood that his daughters meant the world to him. From nighttime drives and ice cream outings to Friday night daddy-daughter dinners, Jeff cherished every moment with Rachel and Sarah-and they adored their fun-loving, silly father in return.
Jeff was known for his encyclopedic knowledge of music and cars. A wonderful and faithful friend, he had a gift for connecting with people and engaging in meaningful conversation. His warmth, intellect, and humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Illinois Lawyers’ Assistance Program at www.illinoislap.org/donate. A chapel service will be held on Friday at 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Jeff and I worked briefly at a job during summer many years ago. He was so caring and funny. We laughed a lot together. I enjoyed hanging out with him and I knew he was going places as he was considering law school at the time. Beth (and the Chudnow family), may his memory be a blessing. It is so sad that he was so young. He will be missed. Thinking of Beth and her daughters during this difficult time.
